IMS ISG style Mixing Elements IMS manufactures ISG-style static mixing elements for improved melt homogenisation and colour dispersion in injection moulding applications.
Available in 16 mm and 21 mm diameters, with a choice of 5 or 6 element configurations to suit different processing requirements. The elements repeatedly divide and recombine the polymer melt, helping provide more uniform colour and melt temperature before the material enters the mould.
One may experience an average pressure drop of around 30%, although the actual pressure loss will depend heavily on polymer, temperature, flow rate and geometry.
